Visitors make more than 53 million trips to Greater Columbus annually, spending $8.2 billion and supporting more than 82,500 jobs. Join Ashley Darr, Sr. Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications with Experience Columbus October 13th to learn more about why and how Columbus is becoming one of the fastest growing cities in the country, what’s new and where to explore next.

Nov. 10, 2025 – Tim Kreps will present The Pilgrim!  Tim Kreps is a retired teacher who taught in Sylvania, Ohio for 33 years.  He is a past Sylvania Teacher of the Year and was also awarded Ohio’s Social Studies Teacher of the Year by the Ohio Council for the Social Studies.  He has presented his re-enactments of a French fur trader, woodworker, Pilgrim and Mark Twain, throughout Ohio, southeastern Michigan, Pennsylvania and Florida to historical societies, conferences, teacher workshops, students in grades 3 through 12 and many audiences that love to see history come alive.

Dec. 8, 2025Candy Cane Gala  – The event being held at the Scioto Reserve Country Club will feature delicious dining, fun, friends, and musical entertainment provided by the Delaware High School Hayes Singers.

Jan. 12, 2026 – Colina Stailey – “Around the World Cruise with Colinda Staley” . Colinda spent 6 months on a cruise and is sharing her story with all members of the Women’s Club of Powell. Please come and hear her tell of her adventures!

February 9, 2026 – Detective Audrey Wilt from the Powell Police Dept. will speak on personal safety, including internet safety.

March 9, 2026 – Rebecca Rose from the Ohio Wildlife CenterLiving With Wildlife 

Many cities and suburbs in America have more wild animals living in them than at any time in the past 150 years. Ecologist Peter Alagona, author of the new book, The Accidental Ecosystem writes, “The recent explosion of wildlife in American cities is one of the greatest ecological success stories since the dawn of conservation, but it happened largely by accident.” This is the fascinating story of how our cities and suburbs filled with wildlife and how we can share our neighborhoods, parks, and workplaces with a stunning array of wild creatures to the benefit of people and animals. Learn about our local resources that provide humane solutions to living peacefully with wild animals.

April 13, 2026 – Herb Gardening, presented by a Master Gardener Volunteer (TBD) from the Ohio State University Extension, Franklin County. The Gardener will discuss annual and perennial herbs that grow best in Ohio, as well as different production methods, including growing hers in containers and raised beds.

May 2, 2026 – Spring Fling – Enjoy delicious lunch, fun and friends at the Safari Event Center, 4850 W. Powell Road (across the street from the Columbus Zoo entrance). Professor Linda Mizejewski from The OSU will present Pretty/Funny: Women & Comedy
